You guys make me feel really good
it's nothing you do intentionally,
it's just being around you.
An I feel shit about things until I see you lot
an then I'm reminded that things are good,
that I'm good.

''BOOMTOWN its the place''

This, was the song of the weekend, despite being thrown from dj to dj and being remixed to death, this is one of the best versions ( in my opinion) and we managed to catch DJ Zinc at Arcadia Sunday night, feeling high off the weekend, a little sad that the sound wasn't great (which always seems to be the way with the favourites-ala High Contrast, Sub Focus Nostock 2009) we danced our asses off in a crowd of many messy on all sorts of beautiful people.

Saturday night we ate some burritos and my friend was too bloated to dance, she insisted however that I look after the rest of the set for her, it was Andy C (more drum&bass-but then thats the majority of the reason I went), in the hours before we spoke about the current redundancy for many dub-step producers (really not a problem- it was ruined as soon as Radio1 heard about it) and the sad fact that an awful lot of drum&bass DJ's stray away from their roots in order to stay noticed- I guess the good thing is there are a chuck load of amazing new producers throwing out new stuff within which you can hear threads of inspirations, drum beats and cherished samples.

Here is short sweet scruffy video of Andy C Saturday night performing on the Bassline Circus lineup...

It is painful to list the ones we really wanted to see and missed due to our casual 'anything goes' rota..

monumental

it was awful when you went away
i was awful when you went away
now those feelings have gone away
but not all things go away

im a grown person
with nostalgic love
these memories stay
so i know i can feel
again

a small load of thoughts

its been so long i was concerned I would have forgotten how to do this.

if you can get over the informal English presentation and general composition it might be worth a look ski.

it feels like a nostalgic act in the present, possible? perhaps I'm not describing it correctly.

initially i was going to pt up the Sugarcubes 'birthday' video, and now its ended up as this, which doesn't fill me with the same feeling, but now I've mentioned Bjork I have an excuse so say how lovely she is.

from flashbacks of my younger years, I think I saw her then as a novelty figure.. al la peter andre.. (although now I see the two as completely different). it was 90's pop right, her with an entourage, walking round streets with a pink rubber ding-gee telling everyone to be quiet.

[this is lasting a bit longer than my hangover attention span anticipated, so much so that in writing this sentenced my thoughts have turned to a need for a kiwi fruit, so, buenas noches.
